MANILA, Philippines—Armed Forces of the Philippines chief Gen. Delfin Bangit is ready to relinquish his post should presumptive President-elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III decide to replace him, a military spokesman said Tuesday.

Lt. Col. Arnulfo Burgos Jr., AFP spokesman, said Bangit will follow the orders of the new President regarding an expected revamp within the 120,000-strong military organization.
